We cut to
the ringside area. The ring announcer’s
voice booms…
“Ladies and gentlemen, being accompanied to the ring by Tabitha Silverstone….please welcome Marie Jones, Jinxy, Melody Williams, Fury, and Sophie James, THE GINGER NATION!”
A spotlight shines down at the top of the entrance ramp. Pyro goes off. Then Marie Annabelle Jones steps through the curtain, wearing her ring gear and her signature black leather jacket. A broad, somewhat condescending grin is on her face as she gaze out at the fans in the arena who boo loudly despite the fact that is waving at them in almost a regal manner. The other Ginger Nation members step into the scene next behind Marie. The Tron shows images of her striking at her opponents with her finishing and signature moves as the lyrics of "Haunted" by Taylor Swift begin to flow through the arena. Marie begins to make her way down towards the ring to loud booing from the fans. Along the way the other Ginger Nation members goes to some fans, some who are booing her they hand them the new "Phoenix Fan" t-shirt and to those with derogatory signs insulting Marie, Tabitha takes them away and gives them new signs that read "Greatest Jones Ever" and "Marie Is The Best". As for Marie herself, she pays little to no attention to the reaction she is receiving from this hostile crowd. Her focus is solely on the ring and the determined stride with which she walks tells that story. Marie hops up onto the ring apron. She strikes a sultry and sexy pose for the audience. She then smirks, shakes her head smugly muttering 'in your dreams' before stepping into the ring. She then hops up onto the second turnbuckle of the nearby corner and holds her arms up high into the air, getting a reaction from the crowd. Melody, Fury, Jinxy, Sophie, and Tabitha join her inside of the ring. Marie gets a microphone.
“Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, children of all ages…”
She points to a guy in the front row.
“ …and yes, even that fat sack of shit in the front row, behold the greatness that stands before you in this very ring!”
Jones motions to every Ginger Nation member in the ring with her.
“This is the greatest collection of raw talent and ability in professional wrestling. Fury is the most powerful woman on the planet, with unheard of strength. Jinxy is the greatest GINGERNational Champion this company has ever seen. Sophie James and I will become IWC World Tag Team Champions together.”
Jones points to Melody.
“Even Melody has her role to play in Ginger Nation. Despite rumors from The Informer, neither Melody nor anyone else in this ring is in any danger of being kicked out of this great collection of talent. You see, despite wild rumors, Ginger Nation is actually on the rise. We have even added a new member to our ranks recently. Namely one Allison Lorraine.”
The crowd cheers loudly.
“That’s right, cheer her, cheer the newest member of Ginger Nation. Cheer what you once knew her to be because that has all ended. As you have seen, we have begun to give her the greatest makeover ever. We have made her over into the quintessential ginger. And I cannot take credit for this, even though I am the one who owns her contract. For that I must give credit to the greatest manager of all time, Tabitha Silverstone!”
Tabitha nods her head and thanks Marie. The crowd, though, boos loudly.

Tabitha nods her head and thanks Marie. The crowd, though, boos loudly.
“Now, that being said, stand up and applaud
the newest member of Ginger Nation, the NEW Allison Lorraine!”
Katy Perry’s “Roar” begins to play over the PA system. Allison Lorraine steps out onto the stage wearing her new ring gear, which is much skimpier and revealing than her old ring gear. Her long red hair hangs unrestrained to below her shoulders. She doesn’t look too enthused as she makes her way down the ramp towards the ring. Allison hops up onto the ring apron and is about to enter the ring but Tabitha Silverstone stops her. Silverstone gives her a command which we cannot hear but it clearly disturbs Allison who says “no.” Silverstone repeats the command and Allison sighs and then proceeds to do a sexy and sultry grind on the ropes. Upon doing this, Lorraine is then allowed to enter the ring.
“Now Allison, I understand that we were enemies at first, and I also understand that you did not want to join the Ginger Nation. But quite frankly I am proud of you for being a team player and doing as you are told. I am proud that you have taken Tabitha’s advice because under her supervision you will become not just an asset for Ginger Nation but a major star in your own right. And the big news, which I am breaking to you and the world right now, is that Tabitha here is working her ass off to get YOU and Jinxy a shot at the GCW World Tag Team Championships.”
For the first time in a long time, a legitimate smile crosses Allison’s face.
“Really? A shot at the tag titles?”
Jones places her hands on Allison’s shoulders.
“Yes, really. Tabitha tried to tell you that Ginger Nation was going to turn out to be the best thing that ever happened to you and she meant it. Now you are on the fast track to winning gold in GCW again. But there is one tiny thing we need from you first.”
Lorraine furrows her brow.

“What’s that?”
“A show of loyalty.”
Lorraine rolls her eyes.
“A show of loyalty? Please, Marie. I have already dyed my hair orange just for you. I left Jones Wrestling Incorporated to join Silverstone just for you. I have allowed myself to be portrayed as a whore in front of the camera. I have wrestled alongside everyone in this ring, all for you. Isn’t that loyalty enough?”
“No, Allison, no it isn’t, especially not when getting you do these things is like pulling teeth. Yes, Tabitha tells me all about your rebelliousness.”
“Yes, I may have been a little rebellious, but I am over that. I am Ginger Nation and I realize there is no escaping it. I am prepared to embrace my new role.”
“That’s all well and good but those are just words, Allison. I need to see actions to back them up. You say you are loyal but I want to test that loyalty. You claim you are ready to embrace your new role as a member of Ginger Nation but a part of you still wants to cling onto the past. The best way to ensure your loyalty to Ginger Nation is to eradicate that past once and for all.”
Tabitha Silverstone hands Marie a luchadore mask. Allison goes pale as she recognizes it.
“Tell the world what this is, Allison.”
“That’s…that’s my father’s mask. He wrestled as Tigra and then passed the mask onto me.”
“Until Karen McBride unmasked you, yes I remember. That past is all well and good but that past is also holding you back. As long as you still have a connection to that past then you will never fully embrace the Ginger Nation.”
Jinxy hands Marie a lighter. Allison shakes her head vehemently.
“Don’t destroy it! Whatever you do PLEASE don’t destroy it!”
“Don’t worry, Allison, I have no intentions of destroying this mask.”
She hands Allison the mask and the lighter.
“YOU are going to destroy this mask.”
Lorraine shakes her head.
“No! No, you cannot make me do this! Do you have any idea what this means to me? What this…”
“Yes, lucha libre heritage blah blah blah we’ve heard it all and have been bored to death by it all in the past. This isn’t about clinging onto the past, darling, it’s about embracing the future, YOUR future with Ginger Nation. So you can do this, you can set the mask on fire, thus destroying your past so we can move on with your future, OR I can remind you that I own your contract and I’ll just force you to do it. But either way, you will light that mask on fire and we will all watch it burn until it is nothing but ash.”
Allison looks at the lighter, at the mask, and then back at Marie. She looks over at Tabitha pleadingly but gets no mercy from her. Silverstone reminds her that Marie does in fact own her contract.
“I’m…I’m sorry dad…”
With that, Allison holds the mask up to the lighter and sets it aflame. She almost immediately drops the mask and then drops to her knees, weeping at the sight of her mask going up in flames, weeping at what has just done.
“Good girl, Allison! Good girl! You are learning quickly, just as everyone else will learn soon enough, that Ginger Nation is here to stay and you can either join us or be destroyed by us, either way is irrelevant, because the Ginger Nation will rule the wrestling world!”
Lorraine rolls her eyes.

Matilda
Lorraine comes from wealthy French aristocracy. She’s used to getting whatever
she wants in life, no questions asked. Things changed drastically for her when
she met a young Mexican named Juan Diaz. Diaz turned out to be a luchador, a
professional wrestler out of Mexico City, who competed under the mask and guise
of El Tigre; or The Tiger for those English speakers. Their relationship grew
quickly and passionately, right under the nose of Juan’s wife. He tried to keep
the affair a secret but could no longer do so when Matilda found out she was
pregnant with Juan’s child. The pair came out with their relationship and, as a
result, Juan’s wife left him. This allowed Diaz to marry Matilda and raise
their daughter, whom they would name Allison.
Allison’s intelligence was her greatest asset. At a very young age she earned a PhD in psychology. Matilda was hopeful that her daughter would use her degree to begin her own psychiatric practice but alas her greatest fear would come to fruition when Allison announced that she wanted to finish the work of her father and become the new El Tigre; this would mean she would have to train to become a professional wrestler, a luchador like Juan Diaz.
Matilda was dead set against her daughter becoming a wrestler. Having been in a relationship with Juan Diaz she saw firsthand what the wrestling business can do to someone. She was there the night Juan Diaz had his final match, suffering a career injuring crippling neck injury that would confine him to a wheelchair for the rest of his life. Fearing this could happen to Allison, Matilda refused to grant her blessing to Allison. Unfortunately, Juan Diaz was more than happy with the idea of his child continuing with his legacy and he not only granted her his blessing but he convinced his brother Carlos, also a wrestler, to train Allison.
Matilda was furious with Juan over his decision to allow Allison to wrestle. She is used to getting what she wanted and to have someone like Juan do this is unspeakable for her, even if it is her husband, but Matilda could do nothing but watch and pray that her child did not permanently injure herself the way her father Juan Diaz did.

Allison
competed in the Southeastern Women’s Wrestling Conference and Global Division
of Wrestling, becoming GDW Women’s Champion in the process. She was a multi-time tag team champion with
Laurel Anne Hardy in both GCW and FWA.
It seemed as if Allison Lorraine had truly found her niche, despite the
fears and concerns of her mother.
Allison was definitely enjoying being a luchadora.
Then came the #GingerNation…
The #GingerNation was a group of redheaded wrestlers in GCW with whom Allison had more than a few run-ins with. In fact, Allison downright humiliated them by beating each and every member of the #GingerNation in one on one action. The gingers wanted payback and they got it by tricking Allison into one final match; if their leader, none other than Marie Jones, won, Allison would have to join the #GingerNation and do as they said, but if Allison won then Marie Jones would have to shave her head bald.
Needless to say, Allison had been on a major roll and had beaten them all once already. Who wouldn’t feel confident with that record? Allison felt she could get the job done one more time and agreed to the match and the stipulation. Unfortunately for Allison, the gingers were prepared and they used their less than savory tactics to cheat their way to victory and that victory meant Allison would have to join the #GingerNation.
Juan, Matilda, and Carlos were concerned at first. This was just the kind of thing all of them were worried about regarding the wrestling business. The #GingerNation forced her to dye her naturally beautiful dark hair to a reddish color to match her new ginger teammates and they slowly broke her down mentally and emotionally…
Allison, a formerly proud luchador warrior who did not want to use her body to objectify herself, was forced to wrestle in a skimpier, sexier attire. She was forced to participate in sexy photoshoots, displaying her wondrous body for all to see. They told her to embrace the idea that she was “yummy”…
She had always been a competitor who wanted to win fairly but as a member of the #GingerNation she was forced to cheat to help her teammates win…
…but the greatest slap in the face, and perhaps the final straw that ultimately broke Allison mentally, was when the #GingerNation forced Allison to burn her father’s mask on live television.

Echoes are
heard throughout the empty gymnasium when Allison Lorraine pulls open the door and steps inside. The concrete floor is gray and the walls are
painted an off-white color, at least the walls that still have paint on them,
as most of the paint on the walls have begun to peel. There is a standard professional wrestling
ring set up in the center, weights scattered all over the floor. At one of the far ends of the room is a red
heavy bag. Allison herself is dressed
ready for a workout in black workout shorts, tennis shoes, and a white tank
top. Her long red hair is pulled into a
ponytail in the back.
“Papi?
Tio?”
Allison
looks from side to side, scanning the empty gym for any sign of her father and
her uncle. Even though she is a member
of #GingerNation now, she is still allowed to train with her father and
uncle. They know how to best prepare
her. They have always trained her.
“¿Dónde
estás?”
“You can speak English, Allison.”
Allison
turns to her right and finds her Uncle Carlos wheeling Allison’s father, Juan
Diaz, in the wheelchair. They are making
their way ever so closer towards Allison.
A grin forms across Allison’s face.
She can’t wait to see her father and uncle again.
“There you guys are! What’s with the English, though? You know I prefer to speak Spanish.”
“We need to talk.”
“I hope this won’t take too long. I have a tag team championship match in
GCW. I’m not happy about my partner but
hell, it isn’t like I have a choice, right?”
Carlos
wheels Juan up to directly in front of Allison.
Carlos approaches Allison and gets in her face.
“That’s what we need to talk about.”
Allison is
beginning to suspect that something is amiss.
A look of concern washes across her face.
“What do you mean, Uncle Carlos?”
“Why don’t you ask your father?”
Allison
turns and looks down at Juan Diaz who sits in the wheel chair staring coldly up
at his daughter.
“Papi?”
“You have disrespected the family and our
culture.”
He reaches
up and touches his face.
“You burned our mask. You burned the mask of Tigra.”
Allison
shakes her head.
“I had no choice, papi! They owned my contract! They…”
“We all have a choice, you ungrateful perra!”
He points
towards the doors.
“Go…be like those whores you associate with!”
Tears are
forming in Allison’s eyes. She looks
over to Carlos.
“Uncle Carlos, please…”
“You are NOT a luchadora anymore.”
He points to
the doors.
“Leave.”
The tears
are free flowing now as Allison cries.
She cries all the way out of the door and outside the gym where she
stops and buries her face in her hands.
==========
Present Day
==========
Matilda sits
on the balcony, on the third floor of her daughter’s San Francisco, California
home, overlooking the skyline. It’s a bright and sunny day in the bay area. The
culture here is slightly different from the French Parisian culture Matilda is
used to, but the idea of kicking back and relaxing is definitely something
Matilda is used to and she is happy that her daughter Allison has finally
embraced it as well.
Allison Lorraine steps into the scene and sets a margarita on the table next to Matilda. Allison is wearing a fuzzi midi dress in rose print with ruched seams, a wide round neckline, and a sheath silhouette. Her feet are encased in black strappy high heels and her long red hair is left to flow down freely to past her shoulders. Allison has a margarita of her own in her hand and sits down in a chair on the other side of the table on the balcony.
“I hope you enjoy that drink, mom.” Allison says with a wink. “I made it especially for you.”
Matilda takes a sip and then looks over at her daughter and smiles warmly.

“It’s delicious, thank you my child.”
Allison sighs as she looks out at the San Francisco skyline.
Allison sighs as she looks out at the San Francisco skyline.
“I am
happy that we could spend this time together, mom.”
“I agree. We do not spend enough time together.”
“We didn’t used to, and we know why that is…”
“Oh?”
Allison pauses as she takes a sip of her margarita. She sets her drink down on the table and turns to face Matilda, frowning.
“El Tirgre…”
It’s a short, simple, yet meaningful statement made by Allison and Matilda knows exactly what she means. Allison has indeed been spending more time with her mother lately, a lot more time than she did in the past, when she was spending time with her father Juan Diaz and his brother Carlos. This was due to the time and effort they were putting into training Allison and making sure she was prepared for each of her matches. But this new #GingerNation version of Allison Lorraine, or #GingerAllison as she likes to call herself, wants nothing to do with her father’s Hispanic culture. As wonderful as it is to see her daughter embrace this upscale, aristocratic lifestyle, it also makes Matilda feel guilty because she realizes that her daughter, at the very same time, refuses to acknowledge her own Hispanic heritage. Allison wants to pretend he doesn’t even exist.

“No, mom,”
Allison
interrupts her mother quickly
“I
don’t want to hear his name.”
Matilda sighs and shakes her head.
Matilda sighs and shakes her head.
“Fine, but your father isn’t entirely to
blame.”
“Of course he isn’t, I am partially to blame because I bought into his asinine ideas of competition and being a proud warrior, whatever the hell that means.”
“Your father comes from an older generation of luchador.”
Allison rolls her eyes.

Allison rolls her eyes.
“Don’t remind me. I know all about the
luchador tradition which he tried to grill into my head from day one in the
business. I even took up his mantle of El Tigre. I tried to continue his
tradition and follow in his footsteps of what he said El Tigre stood for. But
do you know what I realized?”
She reaches over and picks her margarita back up and, perhaps out of frustration, quickly downs a big gulp of it in one swift sitting. She sets it back down on the table and stares at Matilda.
“I realized that his ways are outdated and that El Tigre was as good as extinct.”
“Ginger Nation taught you that, my child.”
Allison grins from ear to ear.

“You’re right, the #GingerNation taught me
that the ways of my father, of El Tigre, were outdated. This sport isn’t about
the thrill of the competition. Let’s be honest, how thrilling is it to lose?
The only thrill comes when you win. Winning is the only thing that matters in
this sport. Nothing else matters.”
Matilda isn’t convinced by her daughter’s ranting, not by a long shot. She senses something is wrong but she cannot put her finger on it. She definitely does not like the idea of her daughter completely ignoring her father and his heritage. But at the same time, Matilda is afraid of losing her. If she upsets her, if she makes her mad, will she quit seeing her too, much as she has quit seeing her father?
That’s a risk Matilda is not willing to take. And yet she still feels she should do something. Matilda watches as Allison takes another sip of her margarita. Matilda takes a sip of her drink as well before taking a deep breath and then sighing.
“Allison…”
“Yes, mom?”
“I just need to know one thing. Are you happy?”
“Happy? Of course I am.”
“You don’t understand, my child. You were happy following in your father’s luchador footsteps before that was taken from you by the Ginger Nation. Now you claim to be happy with Ginger Nation? So I ask you…are you truly happy with who you are?”
Allison grins from ear to ear.
“Of course I am, dear mother.”

Greetings
SCW! You may not recognize me, and if
you don’t shame on you, because I am the sexiest, yummiest, and also the most
talented and most intelligent professional wrestler in UWA…in GCW…and arguably
in the entire #GingerNation…
Just
kidding, Marie! You know I love ya,
girl!
I am Allison
Lorraine but you losers can call me #GingerAllison!
See,
normally I wouldn’t have even come close to being around the little people like
you. But my BFF Marie Jones asked me, as
a favor to her, to participate. The way
she put it was that this was an opportunity for the #GingerNation to dominate
the entire TRIAD.
Just look at
us right now…
In UWA
Sophie James and Kimberly Williams are the World Tag Team Champions and have
been for over a year.
In GCW we
are the first group to have held both the GCW Global Tag Team and GCW World Tag
Team Championships. That’s not to
mention the times Marie won the GCW World Championship and the GCW
#Gingernational Championship.
Unfortunately
it went back to being the INTERNATIONAL Championship. But we’ll change that soon enough.
Our #GingerDominance
in the TRIAD is legendary. Now we’re
ready to move in on Supreme Championship Wrestling. We’re claiming that as our territory as well!
Fact is that
whether it’s me…Kimberly…or Marie…ONE OF US will win that battle royal and take
home that prize money, that car, and that Television Title shot. And that’s just not a fact, that’s a
#GingerFact!
And don’t
forget, #StayYummy
